Essential Tulsa RV Insurance Coverage Options

Basic Tulsa RV insurance offers all the same coverage options as regular auto insurance, including the following:

  • Bodily Injury Liability Coverage
  • Property Damage Liability Coverage
  • Medical Payment Coverage
  • Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage
  • Comprehensive Coverage
  • Collision Coverage

Customize Your Tulsa RV Insurance Policy

In addition to the basic types of coverage listed above, we also offer several options for policy customization. This allows you to create a Tulsa RV Insurance policy that provides you with the best combination of coverage, value, and price.

Roadside Assistance

Roadside assistance ensures that you can get back on the road quickly following minor incidents. This addition to your policy covers everything from changing a flat tire, delivering essential fluids, towing, and help from a locksmith if you lock your keys in your RV.

Emergency Assistance

When you are exploring the open road, the last thing you want to worry about is how to handle an emergency. Through emergency assistance, you will receive roadside assistance as well as coverage for personal property, temporary living expenses, and transportation costs if your RV becomes uninhabitable.

Audio-Visual and Custom Equipment

If you spend a lot of time traveling in your RV, you have likely added several important upgrades! This type of coverage protects your audio, visual, and custom equipment that was not installed at the factory or dealership. To qualify for this type of coverage, audio-visual systems and equipment, like a stereo, DVD player, or a flat-screen TV must be permanently installed.

Custom equipment includes any part that modifies the appearance or performance of your RV such as an awning, a modified or custom engine, exterior tool boxes, special carpeting, custom wheels, and decorative decals.

Personal Property Coverage

While you don’t want to think about the worst happening, it is important to be prepared. Personal property coverage covers damage or theft to your personal belongings while in your RV.

Electronic Lock and Key Replacement

The last thing you should worry about during your cross country adventure is a lost or stolen key. If your electronic keys are lost or stolen, this type of coverage covers the replacement of keys, remote control pads, locks at no extra charge, and with no deductible applied.

Pet Coverage

Do you take the whole family on your adventures? Some of our Tulsa RV insurance carriers help pay for veterinary expenses or death benefits if your cat or dog is injured or dies in a collision.

Save Big on Tulsa RV Insurance

The Tulsa Insurance Guy team is passionate about helping our clients save money while maintaining the Tulsa RV insurance coverage they deserve. Here are a few great ways to save on your policy:

Complete an Accident Prevention Course

Many of our carriers offer a discount on your RV insurance policy following the completion of an accident prevention course. For some carriers, the RV operator must be over the age of 55 to qualify for this discount that typically lasts three years.

Install an Anti-Theft Device

Qualify for a discount when your RV is equipped with an audible alarm or a disabling device that renders the fuel, ignition, or starting system inoperative. If your RV has either a LoJack or Teletrac system, we represent insurance carriers that will waive your comprehensive deductible if your RV is stolen while the anti-theft service is activated.

Bundle Your Policies and Save

At Tulsa Insurance Guy, we are passionate about providing insurance solutions that are both streamlined and affordable. By bundling your RV, car, or home policy, you can qualify for a great discount on your premiums!

Consider Winter Storage

There are likely times during the year that your RV is sitting unused. Reduce your coverage to comprehensive coverage only during the months your RV is stored for the winter. When it’s time to head back out on the road, call us to reinstate your liability and any other coverage on your Tulsa RV Insurance policy.

Choose a Higher Deductible

A higher deductible will lower your insurance rate by shifting part of a loss payment to you. While this results in a higher out-of-pocket payment if you file a claim, it will also lower your premium.

Don’t Forget Insurance Costs!

Are you in the market for a new RV? The make, model, and safety features of your RV will affect how much it costs to repair, maintain, and insure. When you’re shopping for a motorhome, trailer, or camper, compare the cost of insuring different RV models. The Tulsa Insurance Guy team is always available to provide you with the information you need to make these important decisions.

Tulsa RV Insurance FAQs

At Tulsa Insurance Guy, we are passionate about providing our clients with the information they need to make educated decisions regarding their insurance coverage. Here are answers to a few of our most frequently asked questions regarding Tulsa RV insurance:

What types of recreational vehicles do you insure?

We partner with over 80 nationally-recognized insurance carriers. This allows us to offer coverage for class A, B, and C motorhomes, campers, travel trailers, pop-ups, horse and utility trailers. We also can cover motorhomes with values up to $1 million and travel trailers with values up to $300,000.

Can I use my RV for work?

Most of our insurance providers will only cover recreational vehicles used for personal recreation. They also do not offer coverage for any RV driven or towed to and from work or a work location, including any RV used by touring entertainers, construction workers, or racecar drivers. However, this type of coverage is available through our selection of commercial insurance providers.

My RV is also my home for most of the year. Am I covered?

Most of our Tulsa RV insurance carriers only offer coverage if you use your RV for less than 150 days a year. If you live in your RV for the majority of the year, we can provide you with alternative coverage to protect you, your family, and your assets.

Can I get roadside assistance for my RV?

Yes, you can! The emergency assistance option offered by some of our carriers includes all the great features of traditional roadside assistance and adds coverage for temporary living expenses and transportation costs.

Can I reduce coverage while my RV is in storage for the winter?

Yes, you can reduce your coverage to comprehensive only coverage if your RV is stored for more than 90 consecutive days. This is a great way to save money on your Tulsa RV insurance!

Is my personal property covered through Tulsa RV insurance?

Personal property is covered from theft or damage away from home through additional emergency assistance RV coverage.

Can I drive and camp my RV anywhere?

The majority of the carriers we partner with will cover your RV in the continental United States, U.S. territories or possessions, and Canada.
